Transmutation is a collaborative collection by jeweller Amelia Kay and artist Ant The Elder. In alchemy, transmutation is the transformation of one substance into another. The locket at the heart of this collection is a physical expression of that idea—an analogue embodiment of change. A raw, textured teardrop capsule forms a protective shell, concealing a Transmutation sigil within. Contrasting bimetallic tones reflect the alchemical process of sublimation, capturing the essence of transformation through the lens of myth and mysticism.
